FAQs

I’m considering a new property and it will need a dock along with two boat lifts. How large of a dock can be built and how many lifts are allowed on the property?

Each property can vary in water depths, area of buildable space and permit limits. I can provide a design for you that will maximize the properties boating potential.

I received 3 competitive quotes from reputable marine contractors. Each one has a different approach in design and material. How do I know which one is best for me?

I’m happy to look at the property and provide you with a design that meets your specific docking needs. I can also provide a material specific Bid Package that you can approach your perspective builders with to gain an “apples to apples“ quote.

Do I need a permit to repair my existing dock or are permits only required for a new dock?

Most dock projects require at least one permit. Depending on your municipality, waterway type, and repair scope, you will likely need approval to build a new dock or modify an existing structure. I am here to guide your project through this process.

I’m looking at a house that has a dock and 2 boat lifts but need help understanding the lifts and any limits the system may have.

I would be happy to visit your property, walk you through your current setup, and answer your questions. Often, an existing dock fits the previous owner's lifestyle but fails to meet yours. If the structure is sound but needs a facelift, we can discuss upgrading it with new products. If it does not suit your needs at all, I can create a completely new custom design for you.
